No Internet

I want to start saying that I currently have no internet (I'm borrowing Dave's). Later this month I will be getting internet, but that is why I have not been updating. It died... well slowly but it was almost completely gone by finals week.

Finals went VERY well. No sleep, but scored my first 4.0 for full time in college. Talk about a self-esteem booster.

I found an awesome job this summer working for a genetic counselor at OSU's Clinical Cancer Genetics facility. On my second day I was offered a job working for a second counselor on the floor. (There are 9 genetic counselors in the facility). Needless to say, it is an amazing experience. I get to be their assistant, and am learning a lot. There are 3 studies I am working on. Thyroid, Uveal Melanoma, and Breast cancer. It is great being able to talk to the various genetic counselors and see how much they do. Definitely makes me feel like I am on the right track, and re-establishes how much I want to be a genetic counselor.

Weekends have been fun. I spent a week in Cincinnati, and while I didn't see much of my high school friends, I got to spend some GREAT time with my family. Fathers Day was a blast, I got to see both my sisters, and my niece and nephews. I also got to go to a Reds game with my parents. We had AMAZING box seats (next to Ken Griffy Jr's family's box).

Last weekend I went up to Geneva with Dave, Jon and Rachel. We had a good time. Saturday we went to Cleveland. We went to the west side market (I got some sausages for Cumberland), then we walked around by the lake before dinner and drinks at the Winking Lizard. Then we went to the Indians game. It was a lot of fun.

During the weeks Cecilia, Leah, and I have been getting together for dinner after work. It's been really nice to have some girl time. At night sometimes we get together for cards with Pat and Fred.
