First O-Chem midterm!

WOW! Talk about a surprise. Studying for hours on end the past week, and I was surprised by how difficult some of the problems were. I couldn't have prepared more. One problem I had no idea how to do, because we had never done one like it. I was talking to my friend Mark last night about the problem, and he showed me how to do it... and I did it correctly!!!! YAY!! So that was good! Hopefully more were like that.

This weekend I have lots of studying to do, as well as the football game Saturday, and my parents are going to be here too. It'll be hard to prepare for History, but I'm sure I'll manage.

In other areas of life... I'm applying for an honorary society today called Helix Triple Beta. One of my good friends, Chris, and my advisor David are two of the people reviewing applications. So that makes me feel better about it. Also, yesterday I was invited to a Mol Gen research mixer. It's at a bar in Columbus the Saturday before halloween. It should be fun. I like meeting new people, and I really get along with the people in my lab.

Now I'm going to finish getting ready for the morning so I can go to class and to the lab for radiation training.
