I'm not sure if you're even checking this anymore! I know it's been over a month since I've posted. Needless to say I've been busy, and the internet has not been cooperative. For some reason my signal likes to just cut out on me... so if this posts I'll be happy!
I moved into a new place. Pictures will be posted at some point, after I clean my room a bit more, and maybe put my curtains and pictures on the walls. (Wouldn't that be nice?) I moved out of my old place on the 1st of the month, and into this place on the 7th. I was homeless for a few days inbetween but got to go home, and was fortunate to have people let me stay with them the nights before I worked! After settling in I had a nice visit from my parents and got to see Kate, Greg and Colin for my birthday. Colin was great at helping me open gifts... except for the earings, but I think I've bent them back to where they should be! It was nice seeing my family. Then on my actual birthday I had to work in the morning (booooo), but a bunch of my friends came over to my place to watch the Texas game, which was lots of fun! It was Me, Dave, Fred, Pat, Leah, Liz, Mark, and Cecelia.
My first week of classes was last week. It seems like it will be a good quarter. My one tricky class will be EEOB-- animal phisiology/ evolution. It's a "think outside of the box" type of class, which would be fine... if I had more time to practice!! Put plainly, it's hard to prove your thoughts correctly without being given sources to find information to back up your thoughts.
But it will be a fun quarter. I had an interview for a position I applied for on the 1st of september on Friday. The position is an HIV Test Counselor. The description sounded like GREAT experience for genetic counseling, it's on campus, with about a 2 hr/week commitment. PERFECT... I'll find out Thursday if I was one of the 20-25/48 applicants to be accepted. My interview was just soso.
