Take the Cake!

So I'm really busy, but I had this completely random thought and thought it would make for an amusing post.

As my family can attest, I regularly blurt out comments that are so random... you wonder how I got there during the conversation. Well, here's one thought that came to me today.

"I haven't done a cake walk in a really long time". I almost walked out of my room to say this to my roommate, then paused and thought to myself-- "OHHHH... that's why my sisters make fun of me..."

Now let me take you through this thought process.
This morning I was baking brownies (from a brownie mix people... let's not get TOO excited). Anyhow... I was baking brownies to bring for our group poster presentation in my Experimental Social Psych class later today. As I looked for a container to bring the brownies in I saw the cake carrier my mom gave me and thought, 'if only I had made a cake'...
I started thinking about my mom's chocolate icing recipe as I smelled the delicious double chocolate chip brownies finish baking.
That made me think of how I should have made a yellow cake with icing (not that I would have had time, nor the actual cake pans to do this)... But I thought it anyhow!
Then for some odd reason (I suppose it was thinking about my mom's recipe), I thought about cake walks, and how much fun I had in elementary school at our carnivals... which must have been the last time I actually did a cake walk.

Yes, I acknowledge the fact that I am weird... and random... haha but I suppose my mind was thinking how I'd rather play a game than study for my tests!!
